Why us?
Location - location - location. In a quiet residential neighborhood, yet close to everything you might need with public transport or a simply walk. Visit the Metropolitan park in the morning, go to Amador just before lunch and after lunch visit the Miraflores visitor center. You can do 2-3 things a day easily while staying at the Balboa Inn.
Another day you can spend the morning in the Casco Viejo - a 5-minute taxi ride away - or walk up to the top of Ancon Hill, located right behind the Balboa Inn. Quite an enjoyable hike which will reward you with beautiful views of the city's skyline and the Panama Cana.

The Balboa Inn is an (Dutch-)owner-operated B&B where guest satisfaction comes first. Together with our excellent multi-national staff from Panama, the US and Colombia, our team is there to assist you in making the most out of your time in Panama.

Great facility
Our 9 rooms are nicely finished, its ensuite bathrooms have fine European faucets (and great water pressure !), tiles to the ceiling and very quiet split air conditioning unit. The rooms are uniquely decorated by a Panamanian artist giving the Balboa Inn a very special tropical touch.
And when you look outside through the big windows, you see trees and hear birds instead of seeing concrete and hearing street noise. And to check the news or watch a movie, all rooms have satellite TV and a DVD player.
Add the big covered terrace, the garden, superfast Internet and WiFi... The Balboa Inn, simply a great place to stay.
Convenience
Need to catch an early flight to Bocas del Toro or Kuna Yala (San Blas)? We're just 5 minutes from the domestic airport so you'll never be late and don't have to wake up even earlier to take take the morning rush hour into account.
Do you have too much luggage to take with you on the domestic flights? Leave it at our secure storage until you return. We also offer secure and free parking of your rental care right in front of our inn.
Non-smoking policy inside the Balboa Inn
Our surveys have shown that nine out of ten people thought a completely non smoking hotel would be cleaner, fresher and a better looked after environment. In addition over 90% of nonsmokers told us that they would choose an entirely non-smoking hotel over one that offered smoking rooms.
Another interesting result was that over two thirds of smokers said that they would not be put off a hotel just because it did not offer them a smoking room, and almost half of smokers revealed that they would not smoke in their room anyway
Clearly, the majority of guest requests favor a non-smoking hotel environment. The only way to provide this experience is to not allow smoking anywhere within the building. To accommodate the needs of guests who smoke, we do provide a designated smoking area on the small side terrace outside the building .
Breakfast
We want you to start the day the right way. Like one client wrote us " the only problem is that we started our vacation to Panama at the Balboa Inn and we never had a breakfast like you guys serve ever since."
Value
And last but not least, bang for the buck. The reviews of B&B's listed on Tripadvisor.com speak for themselves. We may not rank near the top of the list (which is a little strange actually) but we have the most reviews which gives you a true and honest picture.
