News from Panama - January 2010

  • Two New rooms
  • New staff member
  • Jazz festival coming up
  • - what else?

We've added 2 new rooms!

It started like this....

Building room 8 and 9 - taken May 21

Balboa Inn Bed and breakfast in Panama is adding rooms

and now we are happy to announce the addition of two new rooms. Like everything in Panama, it took a lot longer than expected but here's the result

one of the new rooms - viewing to forward (street-side) window

Each room has a queen and a twin bed and of course its own private bathroom and all the other goodies, including a nice view of our garden through both windows (see below). December was busy so we've already used them on several occasions last month and we certainly need them this month.

After almost a year without taking a vacation, our most super reliable Llaris, responsible for making the breakfast during the weekdays and some weekends has taken all of January off how that her husband also got vacacion. Via our trusted taxi driver Julian we found Ariceli (left picture below). we worked in a nearby restaurant and was ready for a chance.

Ariceli and Janet

She's very happy with the chance and we're very happy to have her with us. When Llaris comes back from vacation, she'll still stay with us as we now do our laundry in-house and that's enough work to keep her busy. Besides, we don't want to stop the many comments from guest about the cleanliness of the Balboa Inn.

The photo on the right above pictures Janet, usually our night porter but she also takes some day shifts in the weekend on occasion.
